COPENHAGEN TOURIST INFORMATION

Copenhagen Tourist Information – They know all the best restaurants and hotels in the area and they can lead you in the right direction. They can even help you make reservations if you need them to. You will find quite a bit of maps and other brochures on the attractions in the city when you stop at the tourist center. The information and brochures are free for you to keep so take advantage of all it has to offer you.

They also sell the Copenhagen Card Plus which includes transport and museums, attractions plus discounts aswell. About $80 for three days including admission to more than 50 museums and sights plus free transport. One day cards are also available. They can be bought from any tourist office in Copenhagen. Two children under 10 years are included on an adult card. There are reduced Cards for older children. They can be purchased online but only if you do so more than 10 days before your arrival to allow for posting, etc.

Calling them even before you leave on your trip will allow them to send you a welcome package. This will have some fantastic information about the city of Copenhagen. All of this will help you to plan your trip a lot easier.

Be sure to take a look around the museum part of the main tourist center. Learn as much as you can about the city and it makes sight seeing a lot easier.

Weather
When you’re travelling to Copenhagen you’ll want to keep several things in mind about the weather in the city.

Copenhagen weather can be cool, even in the summers so pack a jacket always. Pants are recommended anytime during the year that you visit just to be on the safe side. The average temperature during the month of July is 69 degrees, but the lows are in the 50’s. In the winter months it gets very cold. The average temperature during January is 37 degrees. During these months you’ll want to pack for winter weather. Coats, gloves, hats and scarves are recommended.

Now that you know the types of seasons you can be prepared at any time of the year. Always know that the scenery in Copenhagen will be beautiful no matter what time of the year.
